  • Gerald Ostrov has been named CEO and chairman of Bausch & Lomb (B&L; Rochester, New York). Most recently, Ostrov was company group chairman, Worldwide Vision Care, for Johnson & Johnson, where he led the company's global vision care businesses from 1998 to 2006. B&L's core businesses include soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses and lens care products, and ophthalmic surgical and pharmaceutical products.
  • Stan Yakatan has been named chairman of the board of Biophan Technologies (Pittsford, New York). Yakatan has served on Biophan's board since 2006 and is also the founder, CEO and chairman of Katan Associates. Biophan is a developer of biomedical technology.
