• Jeff Timbrook has been named the new CEO of Acuo Technologies (St. Paul, Minnesota). Timbrook has served as Acuo's executive vice president of sales and marketing and succeeds Gary Haycox. Acuo was founded in 2000 with the objective of developing the first enterprise-wide collaborative asset management solution for medical DICOM images residing in a picture archiving and communications system.

• Daryl Faulkner will become president/CEO of Digene (Gaithersburg, Maryland) effective Dec. 11. He also will join the company's board of directors. Previously, Faulkner served for 15 years in a variety of roles at Abbott Laboratories. Digene makes DNA and RNA testing systems for the screening, monitoring and diagnosis of human diseases, with a focus on women's cancers and infectious diseases.
