• Amisys Synertech(ASI; Rockville, Maryland) named two new vice presidents to its executive management team. Philip Spinelli joins the company as vice president, sales. For the past five years, Spinelli served as vice president of marketing and sales for CareTech Solutions. Sheila Wiese joins ASI as vice president, marketing. Wiese spent the past 10 years with IDX Systems, where she most recently served as vice president in the Flowcast operating unit. ASI provides information management software products and web capabilities to health plans.

• E. Blair Holladay, PhD, has been named as executive director to head the board of registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP; Chicago) and as vice president of the society. Holladay is currently the director of the Center for Cytopathology and Molecular Diagnostics at the Medical University of South Carolina. He begins his new duties July 1. The ASCP board of registry promotes the health and safety of the public by certifying competent laboratory professionals and maintaining a registry of certificants.

• Lucia Luce Quinn has been named executive vice president of human resources for Boston Scientific (Natick, Massachusetts). Prior to joining Boston Scientific in January, she served as senior vice president of Quest Diagnostics.
