A Medical Device Daily

Kevin King has been named president and CEO of Thomson Healthcare (Montvale, New Jersey), effective March 8. King joins Thomson, the parent company of Medical Device Daily, The BBI Newsletter and their sister publications, from GE Healthcare.

Most recently, King was vice president and general manager of GE Global Clinical Systems, a $900 million business that manufactures and services monitoring devices, wired/wireless networks, clinical and network applications software. Prior to this role, King was vice president of global marketing for GE Medical Systems Information Technologies and, before that, general manager of GE's global MRI business. King spent the first 14 years of his career in the healthcare business unit of Hewlett Packard.

Thomson Healthcare provides an array of drug, education, and clinical information tools, primarily at the point of care.
