IAF NAMES CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER ...Philippe Lacaille, formerly vice president and general managerof Pharmacia AB, has been appointed executive vice presidentand chief operating officer of IAF BioChem International Inc.(NASDAQ:BCHXF), a Laval, Quebec, developer of vaccines,therapeutics and diagnostic products.

Biorenewal Technologies Inc., a Madison, Wis., developer ofenvironmental pollution detection kits, said Allen J. Dines,president, will also become chief executive officer. Alan D.Betterman, formerly of Agrigenetics and the U.S. Departmentof Agriculture Forest Products Laboratory, will becomedirector of bioprocess development. Douglas C. Cameron,assistant professor of chemical engineering at the Universityof Wisconsin, will become chairman of BTI's technical advisoryboard and chief science officer.

Cheryl Shipley Coyle, director of corporate communications forCytogen Corp. (NASDAQ:CYTO), a Princeton, N.J., developer ofcancer diagnostic imaging agents and targeted anti-cancerdrugs, has been promoted to the newly created position ofdirector of marketing. Laura M.
