BAXTER DIVISION SIGNS SECOND DEAL WITH AHSThe I.V. Systems division of Baxter International Inc. ofDeerfield, Ill., said Thursday it signed a second five-year, sole-source contract with American Healthcare Systems of SanDiego. Baxter is to supply between $250 million and $500million worth of intravenous products under the new deal. Italready provides AHS with medical and surgical products.

PFIZER RAISES DIVIDEND, SPLITS STOCK

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) directors on Thursday raised thequarterly dividend 10 percent to 66 cents a share, declared atwo-for-one stock split and authorized a buy back of 10 millionpost-split shares.

BRITISH TECHNOLOGY, GENETIC ENGINEERING DEAL

British Technology Group USA of Gulph Mills, Pa., said itentered into an agreement with Genetic Engineering Inc. ofDenver to commercially develop microencapsulation of sperm.The technology has been granted a U.S. patent.
