Mirxes Holding Company Ltd. raised $50 million in a series D funding round to expand its cancer early detection blood tests in Asian markets. The company plans to use the proceeds from the latest round to expand its lead asset stomach cancer blood test Gastroclear in Asia Pacific, including Southeast Asia, China and Japan. It will also use the cash to further develop its product portfolio, including a blood-based colorectal cancer screening test and the multi-cancer early detection test under project Cadence. The project aims to launch a single blood test for the early detection of nine high mortality cancers, based on the company’s RNA technology and biomarker technologies.

Personadx can predict treatment outcomes for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer
Personadx Inc. and researchers from the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center have been able to accurately predict which patients with metastatic colorectal cancer will have a favorable treatment outcome following surgical removal of liver metastases, according to a study published in JAMA Oncology. The team developed a method which involved combining a panel of genetic biomarkers and clinical features of the tumor to determine distinct subgroups of cancer that correspond to different treatment outcomes.
