Polarityte Inc.’s Skinte product met primary and secondary endpoints in a randomized clinical trial evaluating healing of diabetic foot ulcers. Skinte is a human cellular and tissue-based product made from a patient’s own skin. Results from the trial and data from the product’s use from 2017 to 2021 during a period of enforcement discretion by the FDA were used by the company in its filing earlier this week of an investigational new drug application for Skinte.
HONG KONG – Rokit Healthcare Inc. is working toward its goal of listing on the Korean stock exchange by July or August 2021. The Seoul, South Korea-based company will issue 12 million shares and targets setting the price range as early as July 2021. KB Securities Co. Ltd. and Mirae Asset will serve as organizers for the IPO.
TORONTO – Calgary, Alberta-based Orpyx Medical Technologies Inc. has launched a sensory insole with remote patient monitoring to prevent potentially fatal diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) and neuropathy-related ulcers. According to Orpyx CEO Breanne Everett, development of the Orpyx SI sensory insole system follows years of study on how DFUs occur and how best to share information with patients and doctors so they can react quickly to first signs of the condition.
Polarityte Inc., of Salt Lake City, reported positive results from a pilot study of its Skinte regenerative skin product in the closure of venous stasis leg ulcers (VLUs) after standard treatments have failed. The findings were reported at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care fall meeting, Oct. 12-14, in Las Vegas.
