HeartWare (Farmingham, Massachusetts/Sydney, Australia) said that the first U.S. patient has received its HeartWare Left Ventricular Assist System (LVAS) at Washington Hospital Center (WHC; Washington), which marks the start of HeartWare's U.S. bridge-to-transplant clinical trial.
