It's been almost three years since Google, now Verily, and Novartis unit Alcon revealed a partnership to develop next-generation contact lenses, including a glucose-sensing lens. While these industry giants have remained largely mum about their progress toward this lofty goal, with an autofocus lens slated earlier already facing delays, other researchers are making advances toward a glucose-sensing lens.
