It probably wouldn't be too far-fetched to call Silk Road Medical (Sunnyvale, Calif.) a giant awakening from its slumber. The private company was formed back in 2007, but has remained relatively quiet – amassing funding and securing patents on technology that could be used in transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) procedures to reduce the risk of strokes.
