More than 180 companies will convene in Las Vegas at the end of this week to tout their new products to the more than 2,500 attendees expected at the American Telemedicine Association's (Washington) 14th annual meeting and exposition.

The meeting will be held from April 26-28 at the Rio Hotel and Pavilion.

The American Telemedicine Association is the leading resource and advocate promoting access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology.

ATA said its mission is to bring together diverse groups from traditional medicine, academic medical centers, technology and telecommunications companies, e-health, medical societies, government and others to overcome barriers to the advancement of telemedicine.
