John Greisch has been named to the newly created role of corporate vice president and president, international with Baxter International (Deerfield, Illinois). Greisch, who has served as the company's CFO since 2004, assumes responsibility for Baxter's operations outside the U.S. Robert Davis, currently the company's treasurer, succeeds Greisch as corporate vice president and CFO. James Utts, president of Baxter Europe since 2004, has decided to retire from the company on Aug. 4. During his 31-year career with Baxter, Utts held a number of senior leadership positions in marketing and general management in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Baxter International, through its subsidiaries, assists healthcare professionals and their patients with treatment of complex medical conditions.

Jorg Leenings has joined IntegraGen (Paris) as head of sales and marketing for its Competence Centre for MODY (Maturity Onset Diabetes of the Young) diabetes and other genetic causes of diabetes, in Bonn, Germany. Leenings brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial diagnostic companies, most notably as group product manager and sales and marketing manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories. IntegraGen is focused on the development of diagnostic and prognostic genetic tests for complex diseases using its technology platform for gene identification.

Richard Smith has resigned as president and chief operating officer of Option Care (Buffalo Grove, Illinois), effective May 31. CEO Raj Rai will be assuming Smith's responsibilities, which he previously held. Smith, who joined Option Care in 2003, is leaving for personal reasons and is relocating back to Colorado. Option Care provides a full range of healthcare services outside the hospital setting.
