John Wilkinson took the helm at Eucomed, the European Confederation Of Medical Devices Associations, in April. Before he had settled into his new office in Brussels he found himself facing an unexpected and far-reaching proposal by the European Commission (EC) to completely overhaul the regulation of medical devices among the 27 member nations.
