Harbour Biomed Therapeutics Ltd. said its anti-FcRn monoclonal antibody, batoclimab, generated top-line phase II data in generalized myasthenia gravis, and the company expects to move into a phase III study by the end of this year, with final data reported in April 2022.
New preclinical data from Immunome Inc. gets the company closer to the clinic for studying its three-antibody cocktail’s effect on SARS-CoV-2. “We will file an IND this quarter and get into the clinic,” Immunome’s CEO, Purnanand Sarma, told BioWorld. “Since the number of cases is rising, unfortunately, we think a clinical study could be conducted reasonably quickly.”

PARIS – Aleva Neurotherapeutics SA reported the first successful implantation of its Directstim directional deep brain stimulation (DBS) system into a patient suffering from Parkinson’s disease. The procedure involving this new generation of active brain device was performed by neurosurgeon Stephan Sobottka, from the Clinic for Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden, Germany.
