Another phase III failure of Theravance Biopharma Inc.’s norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor ampreloxetine to treat symptomatic neurogenic orthostatic hypotension, this time in patients with the rare disease multiple system atrophy, means the end of the company’s R&D efforts.
