In a record year for IPOs, Kymera’s launch ignites the stock

Kymera Therapeutics Inc. debuted on NASDAQ Friday by pricing its upsized IPO of 8.68 million common shares at $20 each as it eyes gross proceeds of $173.3 million. By the end of the day, Kymera stock (NASDAQ:KYMR) had soared 66.3%, with shares closing at $33.26 each. Read More

Third patient dead in Audentes gene therapy trial

A third child with X-linked myotubular myopathy (XLMTM) has died after receiving the higher of two doses of an experimental gene therapy for the rare disease under development at Audentes Therapeutics Inc. Preliminary findings indicate that the immediate cause of death was gastrointestinal bleeding, Audentes said. The trial, testing AT-132 (resamirigene bilparvovec), was already on an FDA clinical hold. Read More

Celltrion partners with Intract to develop oral infliximab

HONG KONG –Celltrion Group is partnering with Intract Pharma Ltd. to jointly develop an oral tablet form of infliximab. “Celltrion will supply the drug material through clinical evaluation and into the market, while Intract will be responsible for performing clinical studies,” Bill Lindsay, the CEO of Intract, told BioWorld.
