Mednax Inc. has inked a definitive agreement through which Radiology Partners will acquire the former's radiology solutions group for $885 million, with an eye toward creating a provider of comprehensive radiology and teleradiology services. El Segundo, Calif.-based Radiology Partners is a physician-owned, on-site radiology practice that partners with about 1,600 radiologists providing services to nearly 1,300 hospitals, clinics and imaging centers across 26 states. When the transaction wraps up, the combined organization, operated under the Radiology Partners name, will include more than 2,400 radiology physicians who provide services in every state plus Washington.

HONG KONG – Singapore-based Genesis Medtech International Pte. Ltd. has acquired the Chocolate Touch drug-coated balloon angioplasty asset from Pleasanton, Calif.-based Trireme Medical LLC. The drug-device technology asset in question is designed with the intention of providing a safer and more effective treatment for patients suffering from peripheral vascular disease, compared to traditional balloon angioplasty.

Israeli startup Envizion Medical Ltd. said it is partnering with one of the largest private U.S. hospital chains to deploy its electromagnetic fields-guided feeding tube placement navigation technology in 150 hospitals nationwide. The company received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for the Envue navigation device and Envizion feeding tubes in April 2019.

Generex Biotechnology Corp.’s wholly owned subsidiary Nugenerex Health partnered with Worldwide Digitech (WWDT) LLC to create a 50/50 joint venture, Nugenhealth LLC. Deep Lens Inc.’s artificial intelligence trial screening and enrollment platform, Viper, will be integrated with Franciscan Health Cancer Center's electronic health record to enable matching of cancer patients with suitable clinical trials starting at diagnosis over the next month. By working together, the two Midwest-based organizations hope to increase the number of patients benefiting from clinical trials and overcome some of the challenges to participation posed by the pandemic.

TORONTO – Virtual reality (VR) platform developer Realize Medical Inc. is collaborating with Lausanne, Switzerland’s Logitech International SA on what the Ottawa-based med tech calls “the world’s first VR platform for creating patient-specific 3D medical models.”

HONG KONG – China’s Arctic Vision (Shanghai) Biotechnology Co. Ltd. has entered an exclusive deal with New York’s Eyenovia Inc. to develop and commercialize ophthalmic formulations that are delivered using the latter’s first-in-class microdosing spray technology. Under the deal, Arctic Vision will commercialize Eyenovia’s Micropine and Microline formulations in Greater China and South Korea in exchange for $45.75 million in upfront payments and additional milestone and royalty payments.
