Italy’s Enthera tackling type 1 diabetes, IBD with $33M series A

LONDON – Enthera Pharmaceuticals Srl has announced the largest international series A to date for an Italian biotech, closing a €28 million (US$32.9 million) round, to take programs in type 1 diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) into phase I development.

G2GBIO seeks further funds after $9.53M series B financing

HONG KONG – Daejeon, South Korea-based biotechnology company G2GBIO Inc. has raised ₩11.4 billion (US$9.53 million) from a series B financing round, with the funds to be used on clinical trials for a sustained-release Alzheimer’s treatment as well as nonclinical trials for diabetes and sustained-release postoperative pain treatments.

But Movano Inc. is working to develop a CGM that is based on radio frequency technology to monitor glucose levels via a noninvasive, external wearable, likely in a form factor akin to a watch or a wrist-worn fitness wearable.
