Bayer strengthens collaboration with One Drop via nearly $100M in new investment, commitments

Informed Data Systems Inc. (IDS), doing business as One Drop, scooped up $98.7 million in new financing and commitments to accelerate the expansion of its digital health platform beyond diabetes. The company raised $34.7 million in a series C round led by Bayer AG, of Leverkusen, Germany. Bayer also committed $64 million in development fees and commercial milestones related to a 2019 licensing agreement to leverage the One Drop solution across multiple therapeutic areas.

Conformal Medical raises $85M to advance stroke prevention technology

Startup Conformal Medical Inc. has reeled in $85 million in a series C round to support a U.S. pivotal trial of its CLAAS technology, a device designed to seal off the heart’s left atrial appendage (LAA) to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation. The financing included participation from new investors Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC and an undisclosed strategic investor.

Medical holograph company Realview Imaging Ltd. has raised a $10 million series C round to enable it to market its first product, Holoscope-i, which offers real-time, 3D holographic images based on any volumetric imaging data during minimally invasive procedures.
